We all get occasionally that dreaded call  for the complaint department! 

Well.... we received one and let me tell you it had come at a time that was full to the brim with stress and issues. The gentleman asked right away if he had the "Complaint Department" ....I replied "YES....my I please help you."  He was a familiar distributor  and of course we wanted to help.

 

It seems one of our models of medical batteries had failed in some way and he was concerned. He explained the  battery had gotten "HOT" ....hot enough to melt ...not one of the shrink wraps on the battery, but both layers. Not having had any problems with any models of LifeLight otoscope batteries, we were at a loss . We discussed the issue  at great length and during the conversation was advised there seemed to be  a small slit on the bottom of battery that  went clear through all layers of shrink. We believed this had caused the battery to "SHORT OUT" but could not be  sure.   Supreme Power advised.... not one but 2 models of said battery were being shipped immediately to distributor  and should be forwarded to end user. Please ask end user to check his charging unit as they some times fail. And "Please send battery that had failed back to us for investigation into the problem."

   We do stand behind our product.

Never let anyone tell you there are not  WONDERFUL, HONEST people in the world today. On Oct. 26th 2006 we received a small box . Inside was our Invoice for 2 batteries at $0.00 and on invoice was a note.

 

The note said........."Penny, Thank you so much for your help. Found the problem to be the End Cap of the Handle. Returning  one of the above and replaced original battery to customer. Many Thanks Best Regards Randy P.S. Original battery was not defective.
