Have you ever heard of a close friend or relative that has been diagnosed with a disease so rare and unheard of as to not have readily available drug therapies to treat it or the drugs are so expensive that patient cannot afford the treatment?
We have a relative with just such a dilemma. Though the disease is well known and treatable the therapy is $6000.00 a month for "Interferon" injections and then there are other drug therapies that add to that amount. Of, course our friend has NO insurance.
She has struggled for years to keep up with the raising cost of treatment and has used the last of her savings.
I recently received a call from her and through the tears she informed me a very WONDERFUL Organization had just contacted her to say they were going to provide ALL her medication requirements at NO cost to her. FOREVER!!!!!! Direct to her door.
Well I felt this organization needed to be THANKED in a big way. And I will donate to this organization today.
The "National Organization for Rare Disorders" deserves much more than any one person can do for them.
